“…Jennie Engel was cordially welcomed, and by her singing of three fresh songs elicited liberal applause. Diamond and Ryan in fresh Irish songs-and-dances confirmed the good opinion we have hitherto expressed of them…M. H. Bartley performed a bone solo, in which he evinced great skill, performing all the various tricks and illustrating the various modes of playing indulged in by the best performers. He then gave a tamborine [sic] solo, and, being recalled, gave with the bones an imitation of a railroad train in motion. He is entitled to rank among the best performers of that kind.”
