“The 22d Regiment Band gave a concert last evening before an audience that nearly filled the Stadt Theater. In addition to the attractions presented in the appearance of two noted soloists, members of the band, Miss Lina Mayr sang two airs. She was each time recalled twice by the enthusiastic plaudits which her manner and singing evoked. The instrumental solos were performed by E. A. Lefebre on the saxophone, and M. Arbuckle on the cornet. The programme included selections from the works of Wagner, Bellini, Meyerbeer, Rossini, De Beriot, Suppe, and Johann Strauss.”
