“The last public rehearsal of the Philharmonic Society took place at the Academy of Music yesterday afternoon. The concert takes place tonight with the following programme [see above].

This is the best programme presented by the society this season. The young American pianist, Miss Julia Rivé, made such a magnificent success yesterday that her appearance at the concert to-night must excite much interest.”
