“Saturday night seems to be the most favorable in the week for opéra bouffe.  Last evening the pretty little theatre in Fourteenth street, where Aimée at present holds forth, was crowded from parquet to dome. The bill was an exceedingly interesting one, consisting of Offenbach’s sparkling opera, ‘Le Périchole,’ a conférance littéraire on Dumas’ ‘L’Homme-Femme,’ and the delightful operetta, ‘Mons. Choufleuri.’ Aimée was in both of the Offenbach works and was in her most fascinating vein. The company will remain for another week at this theatre.”
