“The second Saturday afternoon concert at Association Hall was very successful, judging from the enthusiasm of the audience. Miss Beebe, Miss Wilkinson, and Mr. Sohst were the vocalists, and Mr. Alfred Pease played two pieces of his own composition on the piano-forte, and Dr. S. Austen Pearce two orchestral works on the organ. Nearly all the pieces were encored.”
