Last evening the first grand sacred concert took place in Paul Falk’s elegantly decorated and well appointed Broadway Garden under the direction of Mr. Carl Bergmann. The orchestra of Mr. Bergmann is put together with fine musicians and they performed a number of opera and salon pieces with virtuosity.  Very well attended. The audience listened with attentiveness to the sounds of the orchestra, electrified by Carl Bergmann’s baton.  For his intention the proprietor of this venue deserves to create access and a permanent site for concerts here, much like the German Sunday abonnements or “resource” concerts [subscription series].  We hope that the public’s acceptance of this will not be absent.  Until further notice these concerts will take place every Sunday evening.
