“On Thursday the Academy of Music was crowded to its utmost with a most brilliant and fashionable audience to witness the third commencement of the Bellevue Hospital Medicam College. Long before the hour of opening, the Academy was filled and hundreds were turned away unable to gain even standing-room. The exercises were commenced by the ‘Wedding March,’ the orchestra under the direction of Mr. Carl Bergmann.”
