Fra Diavolo was given last evening better perhaps than on any previous occasion, and was very much appreciated by the audience. We would suggest to Mr. Maretzek that this opera would be most acceptable at a matinee, when he next decides upon giving one. It has never been sung at a matinee since its first introduction in its new and improved form, and would no doubt prove especially welcome to the ladies residing outside the city. We learn with pleasure that Mme. Zucchi is so far recovered from her indisposition that she will be enabled to appear in Norma  at the Brooklyn Academy on Thursday evening, and will positively sing the part of Elvira in Ernani at our Academy on Friday.”
