“We have to mention two concerts: the first in priority is that of Mlle. Barnetche. This pianist has excellent qualities, of method and accuracy. We particularly noticed the vivacity with which she carried off a Fantasy on Lucia and a melody of Schubert arranged by Goria. She played some other pieces very well, but she will allow us to not praise her talent for composition as much as her talent for execution. . .We add that Mlle Barnetche was well supported by Mme d’Angri and by M. Mollenhauer, the only noteworthy violoncellist that we possess in New York. . .”
