“Lucille Western remains in ‘Green Bushes’ the current week, at Niblo’s. Her ‘poses on the bridge’ are pretty well liked by the habitués, and her style of dress is not objected to by lovers of the ‘sculpturesque’ and physical beauties; but her playing is not very favorably alluded to by the critics, or by those ‘in’ with other actresses. However, Miss Western draws very well, and her performances receive the usual meed of applause bestowed upon stars.”
