“The great success which attended the production of London Assurance on the occasion of Mrs. John Wood’s benefit, justifies its being announced for repetition this evening. . . . All holders of tickets who were unable to gain admittance on Monday evening will be admitted to-night.”

“Mrs. John Wood’s Olympic Theatre has had a carnival week of it since our last. The fair manageress having had a rest of four months, and being anxious to appear before the public again, made her rentree on the 3d inst., on the occasion of a benefit tendered to her. The house was densely crowded, and over five hundred tickets were given back at the door to those who could not gain admittance. These tickets were good for the same performance on the 5th inst.”
