“The exhibition of a new organ is a matter of much interest at the present time, when manufactures of foreign builders introduced into this country bring competition close at hand. Mr. George F. Bristow, the organist of the church, and Mr. G. W. Morgan, were announced as the principal exhibitors, but in consequence of the severe illness of Mr. Bristow the whole duties devolved upon Mr. Morgan, who sustained them as only so competent and ready a master could do. His selections were varied and in excellent taste, and his performance was admirable throughout. He displayed the various specialties of the organ, showing its solo qualities in succession and in combination, and bringing out its solid power with much grandeur of effect.
