“’First of May’ is the title of a laughable sketch performed at Tony Pastor’s Opera House last week, by T. G. Riggs, W. Eaton and Carrie Carner. A host of other attractions were presented, consisting of Niggerisms, ballad singing, banjo playing, ballet dancing, and a farce, introducing the strength of the company. The ballet is now one of the principal features of this establishment. There are twelve ladies under the direction of Mons. Szollosy, and they appear in some very pleasing ballet divertissements. Mr. and Miss McDonald continue the features in the dramatic sketches.”
