“A rather questionable arrangement and rendering of Offenbach’s charming opera, and would have been much improved, considering the caliber of the voices, if the music had been entirely left out. The benéficiare appeared to be a favorite with the audience, to judge from their applause. He certainly made Charon a very amusing character.”
