"Sacred Concert and Dedication.--The dedication of the recently-enlarged St. Stephen's Catholic Church, on Twenty-eighth street, between Third and Lexington avenues, will take palce on Sunday morning next, at 10:30...Dr. Berge, the organist, has arranged the musical portion of the services on an unusually grand scale. In addition to the organ, Theodore Thomas' full Concert Orchestra of thirty-six performers will assist, and the choir will have the aid of the Mendelssohn Union, in the choral portions of the Mass, which will be Haydn's No. 3, (the Imperial Mass;) Lambillotti's 'Veni Creator' and Paesiello's 'Tu est Petrus' will also be sung. The admission will be by tickets only,w hich can be obtained at the pastoral residence, or at the doors. St. Stephen's is now the largest and handsomest Catholic Church in the City."
