“The New York Mendelssohn Union gave their first concert at the Church of the Puritans last evening. The church was crowded, and the excellent programme was rendered in a style which might be expected from such a society under their admirable leader. William Berge, Miss Simons, Mrs. Holbrook, Mr. Hill, Miss Mayer, Mrs. Brady and Mr. Eddy were the soloists, and gave universal satisfaction.”
