“A very select and fashionable party assembled last night at the armory of the seventh regiment to enjoy the music of Grafulla’s band at their sixth concert. The programme, consisting of selections from well known composers, was finely rendered. The affair was most distingue and enjoyable, the graceful figures of the aristocratic patronesses of the gallant seventh, in their charming and elaborate toilettes, gliding round the room to the music of Auber, Meyerbeer, and Flotow forming a brilliant coup-d’ail.”
