“Amusements. Olympic Theatre—English Opera.—The troupe of worthy and willing artists which earlier in this year gave some performances of English ballad opera, and one or two representations of Italian favorites, translated to suit, have returned, and have already appeared in ‘The Bohemian Girl,’ and ‘La Sonnambula.’ The general tenor of the performances has not differed from that which marked them before. Evenness and earnestness are the characteristics. Miss Richings, Mrs. Zelda Harrison, Mr. Castle, Mr. Campbell, Mr. Seguin and Mr. Peakes are still of the troupe. They have certainly caught the popular ear. Something, only, is needed with a touch of freshness, or newness, or even strangeness from long disuse, to thoroughly arouse public interest in the enterprise.”

Just a mention that it was performed. “With the exception of Friday . . . attendance [during the week] was very good, but not what it should have been.”
