“Amusements. Musical. Miscellaneous Concerts…On Wednesday evening Mr. J. W. Hill gave his annual concert, and was rewarded with an overflowing audience. The principal interest of the occasion was in the reappearance of Mme. Agatha States, of whose recent success at Pike’s Opera House we have had occasion to speak. The lady has a wonderful voice, and with study can readily take a leading place in the ranks of lyric artists.”
