Program Details

Although this event took place at 3pm on a Sunday, as was usual for the fairly regular "sacred concerts" at the Bowery Garten in the fall of 1863, the advertisement bills it as "Grand Concert" rather than "sacred." This new titling stands for Sunday concerts at the Bowery Garten throughout the beginning of 1864.

"With enlarged orchestra."

Music in Gotham assumes the participation of the Bowery Garten Orchestra; no performing group is provided in the citations.
