Bellini's opera of ‘Norma’ was given last night to the usual crowded and fashionable attendance. Mme. Lucchi [sic] was the Norma and Mlle. Bosisio the Adalgisa. The first-named lady was admirable in all the dramatic parts of the opera, and especially grand in the second act. Her voice, however, lacks the steadiness and purity necessary for the grand scena of the first act.  Mlle. Bosisio displayed a slight improvement on her previous efforts, but is yet timid, immature and unsatisfactory. She was heard to best advantage in the duet of the third act. Signor Massimiliani sang excellently as Pollio, and Signor Antonucci was equally good as Proveso.”
