“A popular concert was given at the Academy of Music on Christmas night with much effect. The artists were Mme. Brinkerhoff, Mrs. J.H. Barclay, Signor Fosati[sic], Mr. J.N. Pattison, and the others were the members of Grafulla's Seventh Regiment Band. The ladies were received with great favor—Mrs. Brinkerhoff being encored in her ballad and loudly applauded in the duet with Signor Fosati[sic].
