“The snow storm last night did not prevent a respectable sized audience from attending the twenty-first Sunday concert at Steinway Hall. The orchestral programme comprised selections from P.E. Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Schubert, and the beautiful, ethereal and fanciful allegretto from Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony. Master Richard Coker, the celebrated soprano, and Signor Strini, were the soloists. The popularity of these concerts is evident from the fact that any one could be induced to brave last night’s storm to attend Steinway Hall.”
