Includes program, little of which was probably performed, however, because of artists who did not appear.

“The benefit concert announced by Mr. Howard Glover was given yesterday at Wallack’s Theater under rather untoward circumstances. Mrs. Zelda Seguin and Mr. Albert Laurence were severely unwell and unable to leave Philadelphia. Miss Marie Krebs and Mrs. Krebs Michalesi did not appear. Madame Anna Bishop, however, Mr. J. R. Thomas, and Signor Ronconi did their best to compensate for the absence of the expected vocalists, and Mr. Harry Sanderson took the place of Miss Krebs at the piano. Mr. Thomas was received with especial favor.”

“Howard Glover’s testimonial concert at Wallack’s, on Wednesday, was interesting in an artistic sense, but by no means remunerative.”
