“Gounod’s opera of ‘Faust’ will be given here to-night for the last time but one.  Mr. Maretzek intends closing the Academy next week in order to devote himself and forces to the first performance and rehearsal of Meyerbeer’s greatest work, ‘Les Huguenots.’  It may not be out of place to intimate mildly to the public that the prices of admission will be slightly increased for the next performances—we mean those commencing with the ‘Huguenots.’  Those who would pay little and hear much should go the ‘Faust’ of ‘Robert le Diable’ performances.”
