academy of music.

The matinée at the Academy on Saturday was not well attended as there was a rival matinée at Wallack’s, where ‘Norma’ was given by some of the artists of the Maretzek company…‘Fra Diavolo’ was produced in a manner that deserved a better audience, Mr. Habelman and Mme. Rotter taking their parts especially well. We trust that the energy and enterprise shown by Mr. Grover will be better appreciated and rewarded this week than it was last.”
