“Mr. L. F. Haffison, a veteran in the concert line, a manager of long and varied experience, gave a concert at the Academy of Music last night in which seven vocalists and fourteen instrumentalists appeared. The programme consisted of eighteen selections, many of which were encored. The principal features were the exquisite piano playing of Miss Heilbron and Mr. Alfred H. Pease, two very clever transcriptions by the gentleman creating quite a furore; the charming singing of Miss Drasdil, the first of our contraltos; Mr. Bartleman, who gave an excellent rendering of Shield's’’Wolf,’ and Mrs. Goodrich, who sang Gounod’s ‘Ave Maria.’”
